NFT
NFT stands for a Non-Fungible Token. A fungible token would be like a twenty-dollar bill —one twenty-dollar bill can be swapped for two ten-dollar bills yet they will keep the same value. A non-fungible token is unique with one official owner at any time and can really be anything like videos, music, photos or other types of digital files. NFTs are categorized into hundreds of subgroups according to their features and representations.
The Challenge
The actual artwork needs to feel worthy of this digital realm. It’s got to feel like the NFT world is the only place your crypto-artwork can live. Cool, edgy, non-traditional.

Process
Two different design approaches were originally pitched.

Venetian Mask
3D Playing Card
This idea is inspired by traditional Venetian masks found in Venice. This direction would be mainly 3d modeling with a focus on ornamental
detail. The animation would be represented by subtle movement and dynamic lighting to highlight the details of the piece.
Both unconventional and with a sense of humor, this direction takes the idea of a physical collectible card and enhances it with parody humor and visual depth that can only be created in the digital world. The main image of the card would have depth like a 3d image while being flat when spun all the way around. This would focus more on an illustrative illusion in a 3D space.
Outcome
Eventually, both directions were combined using the imagery of the sun mask and the 3D card to create a unique 3D tarot card representing one of the major arcana: The Sun.
